This thesis focuses on the magnetic characterization of amorphous ribbons based on cobaltiron alloys, produced via rapid solidification using the melt spinning technique. Two experimental studies were carried out, employing hysteresis loops, First Order Reversal Curve (FORC) diagrams, and giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) curves. The first study explored the influence of the magnetic anisotropy direction relative to the striations formed during the manufacturing process of Metglas 2714A ribbons. For this purpose, ribbon samples were cut at various angles with respect to the striations. According to our results, the easy axis of magnetization appears at 90◦ to the striations. This orientation exhibited a lower effective anisotropy field. The second study analyzed the effect of current-annealing on the magnetic properties of other CoFeSiB ribbons. Changes were observed in the hysteresis loops, FORC diagrams, and magnetoimpedance curves, indicating the induction of anisotropies and the relaxation of internal stresses. For current values corresponding to temperatures above 400 ◦C, signs of crystallization processes began to emerge.en_US
