Bartels, Contreras and Vacca proposed an approach in which they investigated if Regge field theory could be used as an effective theory to describe the behavior of the strong interaction in the Regge limit, specifically looking for a connection between the regions UV (perturbative) and IR (non-perturbative). They first investigated the case of a field with self-interactions [1], and then obtained results for two fields representing the pomeron and odderon with some associations up to the third order in a local potential approximation LPA’ of the potential [2]. In this thesis, we extend the previously mentioned investigations, adding mixing ’mass’ terms between the two fields, and in addition, all the terms up to the third order of the fields in the potential are considered. Specifically, we calculate the running couplings of our theory as we move towards the IR. Since the IR sector in the strong interaction is non-perturbative, we must use techniques that are also non-perturbative. For this reason, we use the exact equation of the functional renormalization group introduced by Wetterich [3], which will give the β functions associated with the effective action. In this equation, it is necessary to introduce a regulator; we use the Litim regulator, since it allows us to drop the UV modes in such a way that the integral in the momentum is easier to calculate. Once the effective action of pomeron has been defined, we study the Wetterich equation, and find and calculate the equations of the renormalization group, obtaining a set of 10 nonlinear differential equations, called β functions, which show us how the ’constants’ of the action evolve while the energy scale changes. To obtain the complete description of the β functions, the anomalous dimensions of the theory are calculated using functional techniques. Since the space of all degrees of freedom is (...).en_US
